Deadly attack on father and son, habitual criminal arrested

Raipur. The applicant Sultana Begum had lodged a report in the police station Maudhapara that on 1.08.2023, at around 10.15 pm, the applicant’s sister-in-law’s son Junaid and the local boy Ayaan were standing on the road outside the house. During that time, a boy from the locality came there and talked about something. He started fighting with Junaid regarding this matter. Seeing the fight, the applicant’s son Asif broke the fight and scolded both the said boy and Junaid due to which the boy left the place abusing him. After some time, the boy along with his aunt Padmani alias Gulshan and Babu, Wahid, Heera, Asfaq and other associates came near the applicant’s house with a sword, knife, stick, plastic baton and started abusing obscenely by saying ‘Where is Asif?’ . During this time, with the intention of killing him, he beat the applicant’s son Asif with his hand and fist and then attacked Asif with the knife he was keeping and caused serious injury.

Meanwhile, when the applicant’s husband intervened, the said persons also caused serious injury to the applicant’s husband by attacking him with sword, knife and stick. On this, crime number 165/23 section 147, 148, 149, 294, 307, 323, 427, 457, 506 IPC has been registered against the accused in police station Maudhaparam. The offense under 25, 27 Arms Act was registered. Under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Maudhapara police station arrested a total of 9 people, including 7 accused previously involved in the case and 2 children who were in conflict with the law, and seized knives, swords and other weapons used in the incident. The charge sheet against the arrested accused was seized and presented in the court. The other accused involved in the case, Shekhshah Nawaz alias Sonu, was absconding since the incident and was being traced. The team members continuously conducted raids in every possible place of his hiding place and the accused Shekhshah Nawaz alias Sonu, involved in the case, was arrested and sent to jail on judicial remand.
