Dead body of old man found floating in canal, sensation spread

Korba. The dead body of an elderly man was seen floating in a canal in Korba district. People bathing in the canal noticed it and somehow took out the dead body. After this incident, a crowd of people of the colony gathered. After the information, Kotwali police station reached the spot. The age of the elderly person is estimated to be 60 to 65 years. Actually, the whole matter is of Sitamarhi Kumhar locality under Kotwali police station area. A floating dead body was seen floating in the colony adjacent to the canal at around 9 am. Some people bathing in the canal tried to get him out, but due to the strong flow of water, he was swept away far ahead. After much effort, the body was taken out of the canal by some people.

If people are to be believed, a lot of efforts were made to rescue the old man who was floating in the canal as if he was alive, but by the time he was taken out, he was already dead. It is being told that the dead body was flowing from Ratakhar side, where many people noticed it but no one tried to take it out. Later, people taking bath near Sitamarhi Kumhar locality took him out and informed the police. Kotwali police reached the spot, took information about the incident and sent the body to the District Medical College for post-mortem. Injury marks were also found at many places on the old man’s body. The elderly man could not be identified.
