Dead body of middle-aged man found in river, atmosphere of panic among villagers
Katghora. There was a sensation when the dead body of a middle-aged man was found in Hasdev river behind Dhanras Rakhar Dam. While crossing the river by boat in the afternoon, some villagers saw the dead body and informed about it at Katghora police station. As soon as the information was received, Katghora police station in-charge Dharam Narayan Tiwari sent his team. The body was submerged in water in the middle of the river. After the body was taken out of the water, the deceased was identified as Dhansingh Manjhwar, 50 years old, Dongaghat Gram Panchayat, Dhangaon. The deceased worked as a watchman in a company in Rakhar Dam.
Deceased Dhan Singh left his home for work on April 19, but did not return. The relatives had searched for him, but could not find him anywhere. His body was recovered in the water of Hasdev river on Tuesday. After legal action, Katghora police conducted post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the relatives for last rites. Police station in-charge Dharmanarayan Tiwari said that only after the short PM report comes, it will be known how and due to which Dhansingh Manjhwar died. At present, the police have established a track and started investigating the case.
