Daughter murdered and body buried in the house, mother and son accused

Faridabad: In Dhauj village of Faridabad, Haryana, a mother and son have been accused of killing their daughter for the sake of honour. Police have also recovered the 10-month-old skeleton of the girl from the house. Police gave this information on Sunday. Police said that the incident occurred in Dhauj village and it came to light after the girl’s father complained. In this regard, the police spokesperson said that after not having any contact with his daughter for a long time, the girl’s father who lives in Saudi Arabia complained to the police through e-mail on June 7, after which the girl’s mother was called and questioned.

He said, “During interrogation, the girl’s mother told that her daughter had left the house with some boy a year ago and returned later. After this, fed up with the taunts of relatives, she committed suicide by hanging herself in September 2023. The spokesperson said, “She (the girl’s mother) told that the body was buried by digging a pit in a room of the house.” Based on the woman’s statement, a team of Assistant Police Commissioner (Mujesar) Mahesh Sheoran, Tehsildar of Badkhal, forensic experts and Dhauj police station in-charge reached the spot and recovered the skeleton of the girl during excavation. The spokesperson said that the body has been kept in Badshah Khan hospital, whose post-mortem will be done in Nalhar Medical College of Nuh district. He said that the crime branch is also investigating the matter and further action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report.
