Date for updating Aadhaar details extended from June 14 to September 14
New Delhi. There is good news for users updating name, address, date of birth in Aadhaar. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the date for updating Aadhaar details for free from June 14 to September 14, 2023. That is, now you can change Aadhaar details for free for the next 3 months. You can update and upload your Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents online till September 14, 2023. Earlier this date was June 14, 2023.
The free update should be done online at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and Rs 25 will be charged as usual for update at the CSC. There is no charge for updating any document for Aadhaar users. However, this exemption will be available only after updating online. You need an Aadhaar number and registered mobile number to access the portal. You will be able to make any changes in your Aadhaar only by using the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
To update Aadhaar, users will have to provide proof of identity and proof of address. Both these documents have to be filed on myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. Presently this facility is free of cost. Let us tell you that earlier you had to pay Rs 50 to update your documents on the Aadhaar portal.
First of all, you have to visit the UIDAI website from mobile or laptop.
After this the Aadhaar number has to be entered.
Then login with OTP verification.
Then you have to verify by clicking on the document update.
After that upload the copy of ID proof and address proof.
In this way the request for Aadhaar update will be submitted and Aadhaar status update will be received.
