Dashmantpur CDPO Sakuntala Das along with ICDS Worker nabbed while taking bribe
Koraput: Odisha Vigilance today nabbed Sakuntala Das, the CDPO of Dashmantpur Block in Koraput district, and Minati Khosla, Anganwadi Worker of Adhamunda Anganwadi Centre, for demanding and taking bribe Rs 10,000.
Both Sakuntala Das and Minati Khosla were apprehended while taking the bribe from a newly appointed Anganwadi Helper in order to open her personal file and release her salary.
According to Vigilance sleuths, the Anganwadi Helper had joined one and half months back in an Anganwadi Centre under Dashmantpur Block and was requesting the CDPO to release her salary. But, Das demanded bribe Rs 10,000 to open her personal file and for release of her salary and asked her to pay the amount to her associate Minati Khosla working as Anganwadi Worker in the same Block.
Finding no other means, complainant approached before Vigilance authorities, following which the CDPO was nabbed today while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 through the Anganwadi Worker in the office of CDPO. The entire bribe money has been recovered from them and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations linked to the CDPO, and one location of the Anganwadi Worker from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No 18/2025 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered.
Investigation is in progress against the Dashmantpur CDPO and Anganwadi Worker.

Earlier yesterday, Bibhuti Bhusan Pradhan, the Assistant Fisheries Officer (AFO) of Biramaharajpur in Subarnapur was arrested along with one Babulal Barik, a private person for demanding and taking undue advantage (bribe) of Rs 30,000.
