Cyclone Dana update: Simlipal National Park to remain closed for visitors for 3 days
Baripada: As Odisha is bracing for the potential impact of severe cyclonic storm ‘Dana,’ the authorities of the Simlipal National Park announced to close the park for the visitors for next three days.
According to the officials, the Simlipal National Park will remain closed for the visitors for three days from October 23 to October 25. The decision to close the national park was taken keeping the safety of the tourists in mind.
As predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cyclone ‘Dana’ would make landfall in Odisha-Bengal coast between Puri and Sagar Island on October 24-25. It also has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over the coastal districts of Odisha, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and Bhadrak.
