Cyclone alert, know when, where and how it will affect

New Delhi: Monsoon season is at its peak across the country. There is hardly any state where there is no heavy rain. Meanwhile, a study has said that many cyclonic storms can be seen in the coastal areas of Kerala in the coming days. In such a situation, people need to be careful. The National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) has stated in its study that these storms can hit Kerala between October and November. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected on the western coasts between August and September.

According to the report of ‘The New Indian Express’, former director and emeritus scientist of the National Institute of Oceanography S Prasanna Kumar said that due to the end of the El Nino phase in the Pacific Ocean and the onset of La Nina conditions, the western Pacific Ocean and the eastern Indian Ocean are getting warmer. This has increased the humidity in the atmosphere. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy rains in the month of August or the monsoon season is also expected to be longer. At the same time, once the monsoon retreats, there is a possibility of severe cyclones in the Arabian Sea.
