Current passed through a bus full of wedding guests, 3 died, 6 got burnt
Ranchi: Three people died and six people got burnt due to electric current passing through a bus full of wedding guests in Tamar police station area of Ranchi. They have been brought to RIMS, Ranchi for treatment. The accident happened late Sunday night. It was told that the wedding bus was going from Kuchai police station area of Seraikela district of Jharkhand to Chogagutu village of Tamar police station area. Many people were sitting on the roof of the bus.
Just before the boundary of the village, the bus came in contact with the electric wire hanging downwards and current passed through the entire bus. Three people sitting on the roof of the bus died on the spot. A 12-year-old child is also among the dead. The names of those who lost their lives in the accident are – Dinesh Singh Munda (36), Manda Munda (25) and Jiten Singh Munda (12).
The injured people include Lambaar Munda, Shankar Munda, Subhash Munda, Upen Munda and Charan Munda. Many other passengers on the bus got jolted and started screaming. The bus was immediately stopped and the passengers were safely brought down. It was told that there were 80 to 90 passengers in a bus with a capacity of 55 passengers. More than 20 people were also sitting on the roof of the bus.
