Crime News: Teenage girl raped after being taken to a corn field, accused arrested

Badaun: The police has arrested the accused who raped a teenager after kidnapping her. The victim girl went to the police station Ujhani and complained to the police. The police registered a rape case against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The police arrested the accused on Sunday from near Bari bypass and sent him to jail. The teenager has been medically examined.
The accused had fled after the rape
A woman resident of a village in Ujhani police station area gave a complaint to the police and told that her minor daughter was going from home to town Ujhani to buy clothes on June 13 at 10 am. She was waiting for a vehicle at Kachla intersection. During this time, Ranjeet Prajapati, son of Rajendra Prajapati, resident of village Sahora of police station Musajhag area, met her. He told her about himself and trapped her in his words. On the pretext of giving a lift to town Ujhani, he made her sit on the bike and took her near Hazratganj on Mihona road. Where he forcibly took her to a maize field. He raped her by threatening to kill her and fled from the spot. The victim reached her home. Told her mother about her ordeal.

Police had registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s mother.

On the complaint of her mother, the police registered a report against the accused and started searching for him. He was arrested on Sunday. He was taken to the community health center in Ujhani. Where his DNA sample was sent for testing. Police sent him to jail. The arresting team included Inspector Crime Rahul Chauhan, Senior Sub Inspector Manoj Kumar, Sub Inspector Ali Abbas, Head Constable Anupam Kumar, Constable Nishant Kumar and Payal.
