Country’s first Integrated Public Health Lab started at Kotputli District Hospital

Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department, Smt. Shubhra Singh inspected the newly constructed Integrated Public Health Lab at Kotputli District Hospital on Thursday. This is the first Integrated Public Health Lab in the country to provide various health tests in the medical field under one roof, at one place.
The Additional Chief Secretary said that with the operation of the Integrated Lab, it has now become possible for the patients to get various health check-ups, tests, sample submission, reports, etc. facilities available at one place in the hospital. He said that in this laboratory units of Microbiology, Haematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Cytology and Molecular Biology etc. will work in an integrated manner at one place. He thanked CDC India, the technical support institute in lab construction and directed to organize necessary training and continue arrangements for other necessary resources to conduct lab activities effectively.
Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur said that a total of 10 such integrated public health labs are to be operated in the state, out of which the lab of Government BDM District Hospital Kotputli has been started. He informed that the work of construction of labs is in progress at Pipad City in Jodhpur, Nimbaheda in Chittorgarh, Didwana in Nagaur, District Hospital Pratapgarh, Nathdwara in Rajsamand, Kekri in Ajmer, Gangapur City in Sawaimadhopur, Nawalgarh in Jhunjhunu and Lalsot in Dausa district.
On this occasion, local MLA and Minister of State Mr. Rajendra Singh Yadav, Additional Director Rural Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Sharma, Dr. Mayank Dwivedi of CDC India and concerned officials were present.
