Controversy over the price of litchi, the shopkeeper was beaten to death

Hajipur (IANS) | In Goraul police station area of Vaishali district of Bihar, a case of lynching of a shopkeeper has come to light in a dispute over reducing the price of litchi. The police is now investigating the whole matter. According to the police, Aditya Kumar, a resident of Islampur village, was selling litchi in front of Godia Mandi in Goraul on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, two youths came to buy litchi. After buying litchi, both of them asked to reduce the price due to the bursting of litchi, but the shopkeeper refused.

It is alleged that the dispute started for not reducing the price. Meanwhile, both the youths together thrashed Aditya fiercely, due to which he died. After the incident, both the accused youths fled.

Here, after the incident, angry people blocked the Muzaffarpur-Hajipur road demanding the immediate arrest of the miscreants. After getting the information of the incident, the police also reached the spot. People left the road after much persuasion by the police late in the night.

Mahua’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Surabh Suman told that the police is probing the whole matter. Raids are being conducted to arrest both the accused.
