Control room of electricity department caught fire, chaos broke out

Kondagaon: It has been raining continuously in the district headquarters Kondagaon since the evening of March 19. There was unseasonal rain and storm in Kondagaon headquarters last night. Due to this, a fire broke out due to short circuit in the control room of the electricity department. The control panel box in the control room caught fire. Due to the promptness of the electricity department employees, the fire has been brought under control, but there is power failure in Kondagaon Police Line, District Hospital, Bandhapara, Badekanera Road, Jampadar, Bazar Para and half of the city including Bamhani, Bolbola villages. At present, electricity department employees are doing repair work. Meanwhile, the department has brought the fire under control and is busy restoring power supply. Besides, the roof of the city’s Boys School has also been blown away due to the storm.
