Continental GT-R likely to be the first Royal Enfield 750cc motorcycle from the company: Report

The Royal Enfield Continental GT-R will be the first 750cc motorcycle that will be launching in India. This report comes from Autocar India mentions that the Continental GT-R will be codenamed R1E and will be a fully faired café racer. The launch is expected to take place by the end of the FY26.

In previously mentioned report, it was mentioned that Royal Enfield will have larger version of its parallel twin engine on the Continental GT-R cafe racer. Even though no specifications about the engine are available, it is expected that the motor will offer more output than the 650cc engine. The 650cc engine from RE, is offered in multiple bikes of the company. The latest of them is the Bear 650. The output of the 650cc engine is 47hp and 52.3Nm.

The 750cc Continental GT-R by Royal Enfield is expected to be heavier and faster machine. This means that it will be expensive too. We are expected to have twin front brake discs.

According to sources close to Autocar India, the Continental GT-R750cc will be available for buyers by April 2026. If we are assuming about the prices, the Continental GT-R 750cc is expected to be more than Rs 4 lakh. The Super Meteor goes up to Rs 3.99 lakh.

Royal Enfield Classic 650

Royal Enfield Classic 650 launched in India in March 2025 and it has a starting price of Rs 3.37 lakh. The Classic 650 offers some design similarity to the Classic 350. The motorcycle offers a tried and tested 650cc parallel twin engine that is already present in the other 650cc motorcycles of the manufacturer.

Weight of the motorcycle is 243kg and it is the heaviest in the Royal Enfield line-up. There is a 14.7 litre fuel tank on the bike and the seat height is 800mm. On the other hand, the ground clearance is 154mm.

Colour options in the motorcycle include Bruntingthorpe Blue, Vallam Red, Teal and Black Chrome. The price of the models is Rs 3.37 lakh, Rs 3.37 lakh, Rs 3.41 lakh and Rs 3.50 lakh respectively.
