Constituency reorganisation: AIADMK to protest if Tamil Nadu’s representation reduced

Tamil Nadu : AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has said that if Tamil Nadu is under-represented during constituency reorganisation, the party will be the first to raise its voice against it.

Edappadi Palaniswami posted on Friday in response to a post by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on the ‘X’ platform questioning the BJP and AIADMK over constituency reorganisation:

The AIADMK stands firmly on the immortal principles of our great leaders like Anna, MGR and Jayalalithaa who fearlessly fought for Tamil Nadu’s dignity, Cauvery rights and caste-based reservation. We will not allow Tamil Nadu’s representation to be reduced or our voice to be silenced during the new constituency reorganisation.

The AIADMK, which will return to power in 2027 or whenever the boundary decision comes, will raise the voice of rights and protect the future of Tamil Nadu in a better way.

Humble message to the Prime Minister: You must stop using distractions to hide your failures and fraud.

I have informed Union Home Minister Amit Shah that whenever constituency reorganisation takes place, the rights of Tamil Nadu should not be affected. There is no change in my position. If a situation arises where Tamil Nadu is under-represented, I will be the first voice to oppose it. Edappadi Palaniswami has posted that the people of Tamil Nadu are clear-minded about constituency reorganisation and imposition of Hindi.
