Considered the role of corporates in the development of zoos

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan said corporate companies should come forward to adopt zoo parks and develop them to international standards. Addressing the 14th governing body of Andhra Pradesh Zoo Parks Authority at his residence in Mangalagiri on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said steps should be taken to develop zoo parks in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati to attract more number of visitors. He said zoo parks should be developed under public-private partnership. Wildlife experience facilities should be provided to visitors, he said, and stressed the need to adopt wild animals and develop zoo parks with CSR funds of industries. Pawan directed officials to arrange tea with the Deputy Chief Minister for industrialists and corporate company heads to promote development of the concept of zoo parks. Chief Conservator of Forests Chiranjeevi Chowdhary, Tourism Commissioner K Kannababu and other officials were present.
