Congress, CPI(M) helping BJP in Bengal: Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal: Stating that the Trinamool Congress is contesting the Lok Sabha elections alone in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday alleged that the Congress and CPI(M) are helping the BJP in the state.
Addressing an election rally in Malda district here, Banerjee claimed that TMC will fight a spirited fight against the Narendra Modi-led government at the Center and will play a major role in installing the Bharat Bloc government after the Lok Sabha elections.
He said, “We have no alliance with Congress in Bengal. Here CPI-M has alliance with Congress. Both are with BJP and if you (voters) vote for Congress or CPI(M) it is the same.” will be.” “Cutting down the anti-BJP vote share and helping Narendra Modi are the two eyes of the BJP in this state,” he said.
Banerjee claimed that TMC wanted to discuss seat sharing with Congress with the condition that they should not have any coordination with CPI(M) in Bengal, but she did not listen.
“Congress and CPI(M) leaders in West Bengal are speaking with the same voice of BJP and conspiring against the pro-people policies of the TMC-led government in the state,” he said.
Asserting that the India Alliance is alive outside Bengal, Banerjee said, “I gave India Alliance its name, but the alliance does not exist in Bengal, it will function outside this state because of the pro-BJP stance of its state leaders. ” He claimed that after defeating BJP on its own in Bengal in the Lok Sabha elections, TMC will play an important role in the Bharat alliance at the national level.
Taking a dig at Modi’s comments about the Calcutta High Court order regarding SSC recruitment in 2016, he said, “26,000 youth have suddenly lost their jobs. Does that make you happy?” He alleged that CPI(M) is conspiring with BJP to stop the teaching job recruitment initiative of the state government.
He said, “Even if there might be something wrong, when we try to find alternative ways to fix it in the interest of the deserving educated youth, CPI(M) and BJP rush to jeopardize it. “
