Complete the work of Girdawari verification before 9 November: Collector Choudhary
Durg. Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary reviewed the departmental works along with reviewing the time-bound cases in the meeting of officers in the Collectorate hall today. She took information about the Girdawari verification for paddy procurement. Collector Ms. Chaudhary informed that as per the instructions of the government, paddy procurement is to start in the district from November 14. The officers and employees who have been deputed for Girdawari verification should complete the verification work before 9 November 2024. The Collector said that the secretaries of the Gram Panchayat have also been put on duty for the said work. All the District CEOs should ensure that the Gram Panchayat Secretary completes the verification work by the stipulated period. He said that 21 quintals of paddy is to be purchased per acre from the farmers but the average production per acre is less than this. Girdawari verification is necessary on time so that paddy is not sold illegally. He also took information about the estimated paddy production committee wise from the Food Officer.
The Collector took information about the gas pipeline expansion in the district. He informed that under the project of Government of India, gas pipeline from Nagpur (Maharashtra) to Jharsuguda (Orissa) is being extended through the district. The gas pipeline is being laid through the areas of the district. The concerned SDM should pay special attention to ensure that there are no problems in the gas pipeline extension work. On the issue of pending compassionate appointment in the departments, the Collector said that the officers should settle the cases by giving compassionate appointment against the vacant posts. If any applicant does not want to be appointed on the vacant post, then ensure to get a written application from him in this regard. During the review of the works of the Veterinary Department, the Collector also took information about the animal census. He informed the officers that the animal census work is going to start in the district. The information regarding its date will also be informed by the officers of the Veterinary Department to the field staff of the district and other departments so that the field staff is also aware of the animal census work. The Collector said that the departments from which NOC is sought by the District Office, the concerned departments should send the departmental NOC within the time limit. Ensure availability of funds. On the basis of which further necessary action can be completed on time.
The Collector directed the Deputy Director Agriculture to encourage farmers to cultivate oil palm to fulfill the target set for the Horticulture Department to promote oil palm cultivation in the district for the supply of edible oils. The Collector expressed dissatisfaction over the updated progress of Ayushman Card and directed to make Ayushman cards of all the family members by running door-to-door campaigns again in all urban bodies, district and rural areas. He said that Ayushman cards should be made in the special health camp organized every Wednesday in the district hospital. Also, ensure that Ayushman cards of all the beneficiaries of old age pension are also made. Similarly, officers should also pay special attention to the resolution of pending pension cases after retirement. He directed the DEOs to send the proposal related to the demand letter for the amount for the work completed in the School Jatan Yojana to the government. Collector Ms. Choudhary reviewed the pending cases of department wise time limit, Chief Minister’s other letters, Chief Minister’s Jandarshan, Collector Jandarshan, complaints received through web and post of Public Grievance Redressal Cell, pending cases of Sarth-E portal and PG portal.
