Collector took meeting of officials regarding Republic Day celebrations
Dhamtari. Collector Raghuvanshi handed over the responsibility to celebrate the national festival Republic Day with full dignity and enthusiasm by holding a meeting of officers in the Collectorate’s meeting room yesterday. In the meeting, he told that like every year, this year too the main function of Republic Day will be organized at the Eklavya playground of Dr. Shobharam Dewangan School located at the district headquarters. Collector Raghuvanshi directed that the flag hoisting should be done in all the offices by 7.30 am on January 26 and the officers should be present at the Collectorate at 8 am for the flag hoisting. The final rehearsal for the main function will be held on January 24 at 9 am at the Eklavya Sports Ground of Dr. Shobharam Dewangan Government Higher Secondary School. CEO District Panchayat Roktima Yadav, Additional Collector G.R. attended the meeting. Markam, Joint Collector Hrishikesh Tiwari, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Poyam, all SDMs, District CEO and other departmental officers were present.
In the meeting, Collector Raghuvanshi handed over the responsibility of the entire arrangement and law and order of the Republic Day celebrations to Additional Collector G.R. Markam. After the flag hoisting, the police department was given the responsibility of arranging vehicles for the parade inspection by the chief guest, inviting the freedom fighter family and martyr family, arranging the flag including parade inspection and prescribed protocol etc. Similarly, the Public Works Department and Water Resources were asked to make barricading, leveling the ground, painting, construction of march past track and seating arrangements for the chief guest at the venue. Public Works, Water Resources, Women and Child Development and Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dhamtari have been jointly given the responsibility of arranging shamiana, pandal, kanat along with chairs for the guests and dignitaries. The Forest Department will arrange for necessary bamboo bats and separate prizes for the march past and tableaux. Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Dhamtari will make arrangements for providing water to the function staff and cleaning the parade ground.
Collector Raghuvanshi has entrusted the responsibility of arranging ambulance, paramedical, medicines and health staff to the Chief Medical and Health Officer. Public Works, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Dhamtari will be responsible for the entire arrangement of the function and they will coordinate with all the concerned officers and complete the work. After the flag hoisting, the Collector has given instructions to make necessary preparations for the salute by police and city army troops. Arrangements for fire brigade at the venue will be made by District Commandant Municipal Army Dhamtari. In the main function, tableaux depicting departmental schemes will be taken out by 15 departments of the district. At the same time, Collector Raghuvanshi has given instructions to the concerned officials to ensure all necessary preparations well in advance including cultural programs, distribution of awards and citations, distribution of invitation cards, photos and videography by the school students.
