CMs of Odisha, Chhattisgarh agree to find way for amicable resolution of Mahanadi water dispute

Bhubaneswar: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bishnu Dev Sai, during his visit to Odisha, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan today.
On this occasion, various issues were discussed between the two CMs. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi suggested amicable resolutions of the Mahanadi water dispute in a cordial atmosphere.
Stating that the two states are neighboring states and there is a linguistic and emotional similarity between both the states, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said that it should be resolved immediately in the interest of the people of both the states.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed a positive opinion on this and said that he has always been in favor of amicable resolution. He opined that this problem can be resolved appropriately through dialogue.
The Chief Ministers of both the states have agreed to focus on this issue and find a way for its peaceful resolution.
