CM Vishnudev Sai congratulated artist Basant Sahu, awarded with Helen Keller Award

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai called Basant Sahu, a disabled social worker and painter living in Kurud of Dhamtari district, who is full of self-confidence and is a source of inspiration for many children and youth, and congratulated him on his birthday as well as on being awarded the Helen Keller Award 2024.

Basant Sahu said that my aim is to bring inclusiveness and equality in the society, so that every person can get equal opportunity. His paintings include Chhattisgarhi folk dance, traditional costumes and contemporary problems of the society. The paintings made by Basant have been collected at various important places in the country and abroad, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, Raj Bhavan, Delhi Museum in India and many countries including USA, England, Australia. His art has earned him respect not only in Chhattisgarh, but also in the country and abroad. Basant Sahu never let his disability become an obstacle in his path to success.
