Greetings to the people of the state on Durgashtami and Mahanavami
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Durgashtami and Mahanavami. On this occasion, Sai has prayed to Maa Durga for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. In his greetings message, he has said that Navratri, the great festival of worship of Shakti, is celebrated with devotion for nine days across the country. During this, nine forms of the goddess are worshiped. On the eighth day of Navratri, the eighth form of Mata Shakti, Mata Mahagauri, and on the ninth day, the form of Goddess Siddhidatri is worshiped.
The Chief Minister said that this festival of Shakti inspires us to worship and respect the mother power. This festival teaches us that respect for women is a part of our tradition and culture as well as ingrained in our values. It is the great responsibility of all of us to keep these values alive.
