Raipur. A cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has commenced at the Mantralaya (Secretariat), Mahanadi Bhavan. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has instructed officials to provide skill upgradation training to as many young people as possible, with the aim of making them job-ready and accelerating skill development in the state. The Chief Minister reviewed the Skill Development, Technical Education, Employment, and Training Department at a meeting held at the Mahanadi Bhavan Secretariat. He stated that new industries will soon be established in the state, which will increase employment opportunities for the youth.
Emphasis was also placed on organizing regular job fairs in the districts. The Chief Minister directed that priority be given to the modernization of technical institutions, especially ITIs, so that trained manpower can be prepared to meet the needs of industries.
The proposal for the integration of CSSDA and the State Project Livelihood College Society was approved, and instructions were given for prompt action. Officials informed that under the Chief Minister Skill Development Scheme, more than 4.90 lakh young people have been trained since 2013, of whom 2.71 lakh have secured employment. Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb and Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel were present at the meeting.
