CM Sai congratulates Women’s Kabaddi World Cup star player Sanju Devi

Chhattisgarh resident Sanju Devi, star player of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai yesterday at his residence in the capital, Raipur. Chief Minister Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Sanju Devi for her outstanding performance in the World Cup and bringing glory to Chhattisgarh and the country. He said, “You have set a new example of women’s empowerment. Seeing you, the daughters of the state will pursue sports with even greater enthusiasm. This achievement will undoubtedly prove to be an inspiration for honing the sporting talent of future generations.” During the meeting, Sanju Devi also shared her life journey, struggles, and sports experiences with Chief Minister Sai. It is noteworthy that Sanju Devi, star player of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, hails from Kerakachhar village in Korba district. She also received the title of Most Valuable Player in the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup. This prestigious tournament was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, from November 17th to 24th. During the meeting, Chhattisgarh Youth Commission Chairman Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Chhattisgarh Kabaddi Association State President Shashikant Baghel, Treasurer Seva Ram Sahu, former coach Anuj Pratap Singh, current coach Dil Kumar Rathore and other officials were also present.
