CM reaches the spot after Vadodara boat accident

Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached Vadodara’s Harni Motnath lake, where a boat had capsized this evening. The deaths of 14 people have been confirmed in the accident.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached the hospital in Vadodara where people rescued in the boat capsizing incident have been admitted.

A boat capsized in Harni Lake in Vadodara, Gujarat on Thursday afternoon. 13 children and 2 teachers died in this accident. The remaining 10 children and 2 teachers aboard the boat have been saved. He has been admitted to the hospital. However, information about his condition is not available yet.

All the children who were victims of the accident belong to New Sunrise School, Vadodara. They had come to one side of the boat to take a selfie, due to which the boat overturned. None of these children or teachers were wearing life jackets. For this reason, when the boat overturned, everyone started drowning in water.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has ordered an investigation into the boat accident that took place in Harni Lake, Vadodara. The investigation has been handed over to Vadodara Collector. They have been asked to conduct an investigation within 10 days and submit a detailed report to the state government.

The students who lost their lives in the accident include Sakina Sheikh, Muhammad Sheikh, Ayat Mansoori, Ayaan Mohammed, Rehan Khalifa, Nizam, Juhbia, Subedar, Ayesha, Khalifa, Nancy, Hatvi Shah, Roshni Surve. Apart from these, teachers Chhaya Patel and Falguni Surti also lost their lives.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Shanghvi reached the spot. Taking information about the entire incident from Vadodara City Collector. Vadodara District Education Officer Rakesh Vyas said that preliminary information is that the school had not taken permission to visit. We are investigating the matter.
