New Delhi: The heat of investigation into the liquor scam in Delhi has now reached CM Kejriwal. For this, ED has sent summons to him thrice, but CM Kejriwal has not yet reached the office for questioning. According to the information, Arvind Kejriwal has questioned the intention of ED to summon him in the liquor scam case. He has said, is the purpose of the summons to conduct any legitimate inquiry or to tarnish my reputation? He said, how did the ED summons reach the news organizations even before it reached me?

Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to ED asking for a questionnaire. Let us tell you that in the letter written to ED, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked for a questionnaire from the agency and has also raised questions on the intention of the summons sent to him. He has also mentioned in the letter that Rajya Sabha elections are to be held on January 19 and he also has to participate in the Republic Day program on January 26 as Delhi CM.

Let us tell you that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in the alleged scam in Delhi Liquor Policy. Kejriwal has sent his reply to ED. His party (AAP) says that Arvind Kejriwal is ready to cooperate in the ED investigation, but the notice of the investigating agency is illegal. Aam Aadmi Party says that a conspiracy is being hatched to arrest Arvind Kejriwal. Efforts are being made to stop him from election campaign. AAP has also raised questions on issuing notice before the elections.

Even before this, Arvind Kejriwal had raised questions by sending a written reply regarding the two summons sent by ED. He did not participate in the questioning, calling the summons illegal and politically motivated. Earlier, ED had sent summons to Kejriwal to appear on 2 November and 21 December 2023. But he did not appear before the investigating agency. When the second summon was sent to Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, he had gone to Punjab for Vipassana meditation.
