CM inaugurates robotic parts manufacturing plant using MK technology

Tamil Nadu : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a robotic machinery parts manufacturing plant powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology at Irungattukottai Chipcot Industrial Park in Kancheepuram district through video conferencing. He also inaugurated an air separation plant at Ranipet Chipcot. The event was held at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Germany-based company Agile Robots is working on integrating artificial intelligence and robotics. It has now set up an artificial intelligence-based robotic machine parts manufacturing factory for use in all sectors at Irungattukottai SIPCOT Industrial Park in Kancheepuram district. The project, with an investment of Rs 300 crore, has employed 300 local engineers and technicians. SOL India Private Limited is working at Ranipet SIPCOT Industrial Park. The MoU for the wind extraction project of this company was signed during the World Investors Summit. The foundation stone for setting up the company’s wind extraction plant was laid in 2023 and the work was completed. The company was set up with an investment of Rs 100 crore. Built at a cost of Rs 175 crore, the plant will provide employment to over 20 people, according to a press release issued by the Tamil Nadu government. Industries Minister T.R.P. Raja, Chief Secretary N. Muruganantham, Industries Secretary V. Arunrai and Career Guidance Institute Executive Director P. Alamelmangai, among others, were present at the inauguration ceremony of the new plants held at the Secretariat.
