CM Dhami took charge after reaching the disaster control room, took information about the damage caused by unseasonal rains
In view of the rains in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the Disaster Management Center located at the Secretariat on late Friday and reviewed the situation arising out of the rains. He instructed the officers to be alert. The Chief Minister instructed the Secretary Disaster Management to coordinate with all the District Magistrates as well as provide assistance to the District Magistrates on the basis of their needs. He also instructed to speed up the necessary repair of roads in the districts.
The Chief Minister said that necessary arrangements will have to be made on time so that the devotees do not face any kind of health-related difficulties during the upcoming Chardham Yatra. In this regard, he himself has held talks with the Union Health Minister. Full cooperation has also been assured by the Union Health Minister. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the Agriculture Department to assess the loss caused to the farmers due to rains in the state. Whatever help is needed by the farmers will be done.
The Chief Minister has asked the officers to keep an eye on the situation by continuously reviewing the rainfall in Joshimath and other areas. He said that the state needed special preparedness to face disasters. On this occasion, Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Ranjit Sinha, Additional Secretary Disaster Management Savin Bansal, Ms. Ridvim Agarwal and other officers were present.
