CM Bhagwant Mann appeals to people to vote for change
Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appealed to the people of Amritsar to vote for change and elect Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar seat.
Mann today took out a road show in favor of Dhaliwal in Amritsar Lok Sabha rural constituencies Raja Sansi, Ajnala and Majitha, followed by Khadur Sahib constituencies of Jandiala, Baba Bakala and Tarn Taran.
In Majitha, the home constituency of the Majithia family, the CM said that even trees shed their old leaves, now the time has come for the people of Amritsar to adopt this practice of nature on June 1. “Vote in favor of Dhaliwal, who as a minister had got 10,000 acres of land vacated from influential people. He will raise the issues of Punjab in the Lok Sabha.
He also took a dig at Shiromani Akali Dal and recited his famous Kikli 2.0. The crowd joined them with loud cheers. Dhaliwal said, “Now ‘false pamphlets’ will not be used against people.”
“Dynastic politicians abuse their power,” he said. “This will not be tolerated any longer.” He urged the public to oust such people from power.
He said that the huge support of people who participated in the road show during the scorching heat testifies that on June 4, Amritsar will give the first lead to AAP by eliminating other parties. “I can never repay their love and support,” he said.
In Rajasansi and Ajnala, the CM said that people should get ready to save the Constitution and democracy, which the freedom fighters earned by sacrificing their lives. He said that the border areas of Amritsar have their own problems. “It will be our priority to address the issues of the people after the elections,” he said.
