Clash between police and local people during removal of encroachment of temple in Delhi

New Delhi (IANS) | Clashes broke out between police and local residents in Delhi’s Mandawali area after authorities took the initiative to remove encroachment of a temple. Several protesters were also detained after the clash.

A large number of police personnel along with paramilitary forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.

The authorities have also put up barricades in the surrounding area.

Locals have been agitating against the move since Thursday morning.
