Chinese citizen arrested from India-Nepal border in Raxaul

Patna. A Chinese national was arrested on Thursday near the India-Nepal border in Raxaul in Bihar’s East Champaran district. The arrested person has been identified as Feng Zhenshan (57), a native of Henan province of China. Jenshan was caught by immigration and SSB officials when he was trying to enter Bihar. Raxaul Range DSP Dhirendra Kumar said, “We have arrested a Chinese national from Raxaul border. Since he does not know English, we are facing difficulty in interrogating him. Central agencies are also interrogating him. His motive for entering India is not yet known.”
During investigation it was revealed that Genshan did not have a valid visa. Officials found a soft copy of a passport issued by the Chinese government in his mobile phone, but he did not have any valid visa issued by Indian authorities. A soft copy of the tourist visa issued by the Nepal government was found in his mobile phone. He came to Nepal on 23 January this year. According to an official, the Chinese national had come to Birgunj by bus and was roaming in Raxaul market on Wednesday.
