Children were given ice water instead of polio, supervisor suspended

Sukma. In the case of giving ice water instead of polio drops in Elmagunda of Konta development block of Sukma, the supervisor there has been removed. CMHO said that health test of all the children of Almagunda has been done, all the children are healthy. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Sandia said that information was received about giving ice pack water during pulse police in Almagunda, taking immediate cognizance of which an investigation team was formed. Health checkup of all the children of Almagunda was done. In the investigation, no health problem or symptoms of any kind were observed in any child due to drinking water.

CMHO said that on March 4, a medical team was again sent to Almaguda under the leadership of the Block Medical Officer of Konta, through which the health of these children was again examined. Also, polio drops were administered to the children in the said area who had missed the dose of polio drops. He told that before freezing the ice, the ice pack is washed thoroughly and filled with clean water. No chemical of any kind is added to it. The whole matter is of village Elmagunda of Minpa, sub health center of Primary Health Center Chintalnar. Where 40 children were given polio vaccine on Sunday.
