Children exchanged in district hospital, real children handed over to women
Bhilai Nagar: The mystery of child exchange in Durg district hospital has finally been solved today. After the DNA test report came, it became clear that the child with Sadhna is Shabana’s. As soon as the report came, the process of giving the child to Shabana started by the child welfare committee and late in the evening both the mothers were handed over their child.
Let us tell you that Shabana herself had exposed this entire negligence and complained about the child exchange. Shabana had expressed doubt that the child she has is Sadhna’s and the child with Sadhna is hers. Accusing the district hospital management of negligence, she handed over the child to the doctors in the district hospital itself and herself also got admitted in the district hospital till the matter was resolved.
Due to the negligence of the hospital, while the Hindu child reached the Muslim family, the Muslim child reached the Hindu family. When both the families reached their homes eight days after the birth, they came to know about the exchange of babies. Shabana Qureshi’s family had requested the collector for help to solve this entire matter. After which a team was formed on the instructions of Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary. The team itself completed the DNA test process and submitted the report to the district hospital management, then this mystery was solved.
It is worth noting that on January 23, Shabana Qureshi (husband Altaf Qureshi) and Sadhna Singh gave birth to their sons at 1:25 pm and 1:32 pm respectively. In the hospital, a tag with the name of the mother is put on the hand of the newborns immediately after birth to identify them. So that there is no exchange. Under this process, pictures of both the newborns were also taken with their mothers after birth. After 8 days, when Shabana Qureshi’s family saw the pictures taken immediately after the operation. So their real child did not have a mole (black mark) on his face. The child they have with them now has a mole on his face. Then they suspected that the child had been swapped and complained about it to the district hospital management. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the hospital management called Sadhna Singh and her family to the hospital. There was a discussion between the two families and the doctor but no solution could be found. Then the collector formed a team giving permission for the DNA test. Today, after the report came, the swapped children reached their real parents.
