Chief shot dead in Bihar
Madhepura (IANS) | In Murliganj police station area of Madhepura district of Bihar, criminals shot dead the head of a panchayat in broad daylight and fled on Friday. The reasons for the murder are not yet known.
According to the police, Sakhua Panchayat head Dilip Kumar was going to the market for some personal work. Meanwhile, unknown criminals shot him near Dinapatti Canal. The chief died in this incident.
The number of criminals is said to be five to six, who came riding on a bike.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the people around became agitated. Here, the police has reached the spot and is probing the matter.
Police say that the reasons for the murder are yet to be ascertained. The police claim that the criminals will be arrested soon.
