Chief Secretary took a meeting of State Level Forest Fire Crisis Management Cell

Dehradun. Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. State level forest fire crisis management cell meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Sandhu. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed the Forest Department to respond immediately to the fire alert. He said that to prevent forest fires, a meeting of the State Level Forest Fire Crisis Management Cell should be organized every year in the month of February. The Chief Secretary said that forest fires are a huge issue which needs to be taken very seriously. He said that maximum cooperation of the local people should be taken to stop the fire in the forests, for this they can also be given some kind of incentive. He also instructed non-governmental social organizations to be included in this.

Emphasizing the need for training programs to extinguish fire, the Chief Secretary said that Pirul is important in the causes of forest fires, for this special attention needs to be paid to the disposal of Pirul from the forests. He talked about promoting the use of Pirul as cooking fuel by preparing pellets. He said that more and more entrepreneurs will have to be encouraged to prepare its pallets so that the common people can use it, so that the availability of Pirul’s pallets remains throughout the year. Along with this, its use as a fuel for the stove should be encouraged for the food prepared in the mid-day meal. On this occasion, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Head of Forest Department (Half) Anoop Malik and Secretary Vijay Kumar Yadav and other high officials were present.
