Chief Minister Stalin’s participation in the Justice Commission meeting is welcome: K.S. Alagiri

Tamil Nadu : Former state Congress president K.S. Alagiri said that M.K. Stalin’s participation in the NITI Aayog meeting is welcome, as the Chief Minister is responsible for releasing funds for Tamil Nadu. Speaking to reporters in Dindigul on Thursday, K.S. Alagiri further said: The Supreme Court has given a clear verdict that state governors should not usurp the rights of the legislature and should not postpone bills without proper reasons. However, an explanation has been sought from the President about this decision of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the Madras High Court has taken away the Chief Minister’s right in appointing Vice Chancellors of universities. Both these actions are against the rights of the state. The participation of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in the NITI Aayog meeting is welcome. The AIADMK’s allegation that the Chief Minister is attending this meeting to surrender before the Prime Minister is baseless. There is no need for the DMK to raise the white flag. MK Stalin is working as a Chief Minister in the country who strongly opposes the Central Government. The people of Tamil Nadu pay a lot of taxes. So it is the responsibility of the Chief Minister to release the money withheld from Tamil Nadu.

The TASMAC scam has been investigated. No one can be held guilty before the court pronounces its verdict. If there has been any wrongdoing in the TASMAC case, the court should punish him, Congress welcomes it, he said.
