Chief Minister Sai along with his family took part in the Shiv Mahapuran Katha

Jashpur. Vishnudev Sai today participated in the 7-day Shiv Mahapuran Katha organized at Madheshwar Mahadev Dham in Mayali of Jashpur district and listened to the story with devotion sitting with the families of special backward tribes Pahadi Korwa and Birhor tribes. It is noteworthy that on this occasion more than one lakh devotees were present to listen to the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. Chief Minister Sai felicitated the narrator Pandit Shri Pradeep Mishra ji by garlanding him and presenting a photograph of Madheshwar Mahadev, and also wished happiness and prosperity to the people of the state and received his blessings.

Addressing the devotees, Chief Minister Sai said that it is a matter of great fortune for all of us that Pandit Pradeep Mishra himself has come to the land of Madheshwar Mahadev to tell the divine story of Lord Shiva. The entire atmosphere has become filled with spiritual energy due to the stream of Shiva devotion going on here for five days. People are getting spiritual knowledge from this holy story.
Chief Minister Sai said that the Chief Minister’s Tirth Yatra Yojana will be re-launched on March 27. Under this, interested devotees will be sent to visit various pilgrimage sites. The Chief Minister also said that so far more than 22,000 devotees have visited Lord Shri Ram under the Ayodhya Dham Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
Villagers of special backward tribes Pahadi Korwa and Birhor tribes also benefited from the divine stream of Shiv Mahapuran Katha. Many devotees from village Pandarsili (Manora), Beherakhar and Bhitghara (Bagichha) reached the Katha site. Santosh Ram, Bajru Ram, Shankar Ram, Durga Ram of Pahadi Korwa tribe and Gendu Ram, Gurubaru Ram, Lakha Ram of Birhor tribe said that Shiv Katha has touched our inner soul. Pradeep Mishra ji’s discourses not only teach devotion, they also give a new direction to life.
Madheshwar Mahadev: Centre of spiritual faith
Chief Minister Sai described Madheshwar Mahadev Dham as a symbol of pride as the world’s largest natural Shivalinga and said that this place is the centre of religious faith of the entire state. He appealed that more and more people should take advantage of this holy occasion and also attend the remaining two days of the Katha and inspire themselves with devotion towards Shiva.
