‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Room’ now in District Collector’s Office too
Maharashtra: Necessary financial assistance is provided to needy citizens for the treatment of serious diseases through the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund. Therefore, apart from applying in this cell, patients and their families have to come to the Ministry for its follow-up. Therefore, in view of the inconvenience caused to them, it has been decided to start ‘Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell’ in the Collector’s Office of each district to make this service easily available. This will avoid wastage of time and money of the citizens.
The Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell provides financial assistance to patients through the concerned hospitals for the treatment of many serious diseases. Financial assistance is also provided during disasters. Many applications are received in the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell to get assistance in this regard. Through the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund Cell, many families have been helped by getting financial assistance for the treatment of serious and expensive diseases. To get this assistance, citizens have to come to the Ministry from every corner of the state. Therefore, to reduce the problems of the citizens, now ‘Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund Cell’ will be started in the District Collector’s Office itself.
This will make it easier for patients to apply for help from the ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Cell’ in their own district and follow-up for help will also be easy. This will prevent the wastage of time and money of citizens, said Rameshwar Nayak, head of the ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Cell’. A committee of specialist doctors has been formed to inform citizens about the current status of applications received in the district by the ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Cell’ and to solve problems, assist in filling applications, meet patients receiving financial assistance in hospitals, create awareness and publicity, visit disaster sites in the district, as well as review diseases for providing financial assistance and re-determine the amount of financial assistance. The cost of treatment is increasing day by day and the amount of financial assistance will be reviewed by the committee.
The ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Cell’, started to provide essential health services and financial assistance to needy patients, will be paperless. Therefore, patients will not need to come to the Ministry to avail this fund. A separate online system will soon be developed for this. To provide more convenient services to patients, the Charitable Hospital Help Desk Online System and Chief Minister Relief Fund Desk Online System (CMRF Portal) will be linked. The AO number and M number given to the patient will be merged as per the existing system.
