Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is determined to develop health facilities in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s effort is to provide excellent health facilities to the people of the state at one place in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. In this episode, continuous work is being done to get Nava Raipur Atal Nagar international recognition in the field of health facilities.
One of these projects is to establish an international level Medicity in Nava Raipur. For this, under the guidance of Finance Minister Chaudhary, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has started making efforts on its part. This modern Medicity will be developed in about 200 acres. For this, the Authority has marked land in Sector 37 of Nava Raipur. In this project, it is proposed to develop health facilities of about 5,000 bed capacity with the help of private investment. The state government has proposed to link this envisaged Medicity project with the Prime Minister Medicity Scheme in future. Recently, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has held a preliminary coordination meeting with Infrantek Services Limited, an undertaking of the Central Government, for the establishment of Medicity. Important issues have been discussed in the meeting to make the Medicity project a reality. This fully equipped Medicity will provide health facilities not only to the citizens of Chhattisgarh but also to the citizens of the neighbouring states. It is proposed to develop many leading multispecialty hospitals, medical colleges, hostels, diagnostics centres, Dharamshalas, hotels and commercial integrated development in the said Medicity. For this, efforts are also being made by the state government to operate international flights from Swami Vivekanand Airport. The development of this Medicity near the airport in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar will give Chhattisgarh a new identity in the field of medical tourism at the international level.
