chhattisgarh news: Teenager raped, youth sent to jail under POCSO Act

Raigarh raigarh news. Kharsia police took immediate action in the case of rape of a minor and arrested the youth who raped the victim by luring her with the promise of marriage under relevant sections of rape, POCSO Act and presented him on judicial remand and sent him to jail.

According to the information, the father of the girl lodged a report in Kharsia Police Station that Aryan Khandelwal (21 years) raped his minor daughter by luring her with the promise of marriage and continuously raped and physically exploited her since October 2021. On the application of the reporter, a case was registered against the accused under Crime No. 336/2024 Section 376(2)(n) IPC.5(l).N IPC 6 POCSO Act and investigation was taken up. Taking the crime related to women seriously, Kharsia Police under the leadership of trainee IPS Akash Shrishrimal immediately raided and arrested the accused Aryan Khandelwal, resident of Kharsia police station area and presented him on judicial remand today. Where the police has sent the accused to jail after the Hon’ble Judge issued a jail warrant for the accused.
