Ranchi: A hearing was held in the judicial magistrate’s court in the check bounce case related to actress Ameesha Patel. Ameesha Patel’s lawyer asked for time for hearing. During this, it was told in the court that Ameesha Patel is ready to return the money to the complainant, more time should be given for this. The court gave more time on this. Also, the next hearing date has been fixed as January 29.
At the same time, when time was sought, complainant’s lawyer Vijay Lakshmi Srivastava opposed it and said that time was being taken to postpone the matter. In the last hearing, the amount of fine imposed by the court had to be paid before cross-examining the witness. Film maker Ajay Kumar Singh, resident of Argora, Ranchi, had given Rs 2 crore to Ameesha Patel in the name of making Desi Magic film, but the film was not made. After this asked for money back from Ameesha. The two checks given for refund bounced. After this, Ajay had filed a case of fraud against Ameesha and Kunal Groomer in 2018.
It is known that Ameesha Patel had to pay a fine for not cross-examining the witness in the last hearing.
