Chaos in wedding ceremony, 50 people fell ill after eating food

Ara: In Itwa village of Shahpur police station area of Bhojpur district of Ara district, the health of about 50 people deteriorated after eating food from a wedding ceremony late on Sunday night. After this, about a dozen of the above people were brought to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment in critical condition, where they are being treated. The sick people include Khushboo Singh, Ankush Kumar, Pooja Devi, Basanti Kunar, Shekhar Kumar, Ajit Singh, Sakshi Singh, Khushi Kumari, Shakuntala Singh, Bhagamani Devi and others, residents of Itwa village of Shahpur police station area. The relative who brought the sick people to Sadar Hospital for treatment told that it was the wedding of his relative Amit’s sister.
Everyone came to participate in this on Sunday night. After this, on Monday night everyone ate the food prepared by the confectioner. Suddenly everyone’s health started deteriorating around 12 o’clock in the night. Within no time the number of sick people crossed four dozen. After this all the people were taken to Shahpur Referral Hospital for treatment. From where after providing first aid, ten people were brought to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment. While other sick people were treated at Shahpur Referral Hospital. On the other hand, the said relative has said that everyone’s health is deteriorating due to food poisoning. It is not known which food item was contaminated, leading to the complaint of food poisoning.
