Change is the only way to make work fun: Kunal Khemu
Mumbai (IANS) | Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu was recently seen in the comedy drama streaming series ‘Pop Kaun’ and the streaming film ‘Kanjoos Makkichoos’. He believes that maintaining versatility is the way out of boring work and making work fun. With his debut film ‘Kalyug’ and projects like ‘Dhol’, ‘Golmaal Series’, ‘Go Goa Gone’, ‘Abhay’, the actor is working in different genres, be it a thriller, drama, murder mystery Yes or comedy.
In comedy as well, he has experimented with genres such as situational comedy, dark comedy, family and slapstick comedy. The actor shared how he broke stereotypes.
When I started, I was only offered serious roles. Then I got an offer for the film ‘Dhol’. After doing ‘Dhol’, I did ’99’, ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Go Goa Gone’ and then 90 per cent of the roles that came were comedies. Interestingly, in the same year I was offered ‘Kalank’, ‘Malang’ and ‘Abhay’.
Talking about these films, Kunal said, all these changes were because of the comedy roles I did. A person should be ready to work in different genres as it helps you to become a better artist.
The actor will be next seen in ‘Gulkand Tales’ starring Raj-DK of ‘The Family Man’ fame and is currently working on the post-production of his directorial debut ‘Madgaon Express’.
