Chandrima Bhattacharya changed her political stance

West Bengal: The ongoing crisis within Trinamool Congress (TMC) in politics is continuously deepening. After the Bengal Assembly elections 2026, the internal differences that arose in the party have now started coming out openly. The political turmoil has intensified after the resignation of senior party leader and former Finance and Health Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya from all posts. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has reacted strongly to his resignation and a new debate has started within the party. Kunal Ghosh said that when Mamata Banerjee was the Chief Minister, Chandrima Bhattacharya held many important departments. He alleged that today when the party has no posts left to give, people are keeping distance and abandoning the leadership in difficult times. He also said that the move could be part of a pre-planned strategy. Here, after the resignation, Chandrima Bhattacharya was seen meeting opposition leader in the assembly Ritabrata Banerjee. It is being told that she was also present in his chamber along with other leaders of the rebel group. Although what was discussed in this meeting has not been officially disclosed, but this meeting has further intensified political speculations. Chandrima Bhattacharya had earlier held the finance and health portfolios in the Mamata Banerjee government. She was recently appointed the state president of the party on June 5, but shortly after she resigned from all posts. He has also given up the role of authorized signatory of bank accounts and representative of the party in the Election Commission. Regarding the increasing differences in TMC and resignations of leaders, political analysts believe that this is a sign of serious crisis within the party. At the same time, the opposition camp is also keeping an eye on this development, due to which a new movement is being seen in the politics of Bengal.
