Chandrama said: Revealed the reason for resignation

Trinamool Congress (TMC): Internal strife has once again come to the fore. Senior party leader and former Finance and Health Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya has resigned from all her posts. After his resignation, the turmoil in West Bengal politics has intensified and questions have started being raised about factionalism within the party. Giving the reason for her resignation, Chandrima said that she was deeply hurt by one of the words of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after which she took this decision. Chandrima Bhattacharya told the media that after a recent incident at Trinamool Bhawan, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told her on phone that she has handed over the party office i.e. Trinamool Bhawan into the hands of some people. According to Chandrima, she found this extremely hurtful as she regularly went to the party office as scheduled and performed her duties. He said that such comments were hurtful to his self-respect, hence he considered it appropriate to resign from all posts. After the resignation, Chandrima Bhattacharya met Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Ritabrata Banerjee, giving rise to political speculations. It is being told that during this time many leaders of the rebel group were also present. Although official information about what was discussed in the meeting has not been revealed, but this meeting is being linked to the growing dissatisfaction within TMC. Here, senior TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has launched a scathing attack on Chandrima Bhattacharya. He said that this entire incident could be part of a pre-planned strategy. He also alleged that Chandrima Bhattacharya’s family is already being investigated on corruption charges. Ghosh said that when Mamata Banerjee had important departments, Chandrima had many big posts, but now she is angry and leaving the party as the situation has changed. On the other hand, the controversy regarding Trinamool Bhawan is also deepening. It is alleged that a group captured the party office located at EM Bypass and locked the gate. During this time many rebel leaders including Ritabrata Banerjee were present there. At the same time, the pro-Mamata group says that this capture took place with the connivance of the government and the police. This entire incident has further increased the tension within the party. However, even amidst the controversy, pictures and posters of Mamata Banerjee remained displayed in the party office. Rebel leaders say that they still consider Mamata Banerjee as the leader of the party and will maintain respect for her. But the ongoing conflict in the organization has raised serious questions on the unity of TMC. Political experts believe that this controversy is not limited to just one resignation, but is indicative of a long-running discontentment and balance of power battle within the TMC. It will be important to see in the coming days how the party leadership handles this crisis and whether the rebel group returns to the party or the divide deepens.
