Chandigarh: Two henchmen of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested
Chandigarh: Police have arrested two operatives of Lawrence Bishnoi and USA-based Goldy Brar gang. The suspects arrested after the shootout incident at the immigration office in Dera Bassi on September 19 have been identified as Nitish Kumar alias Nikku Rana and Gurkirat Singh Bedi. Nikku Rana used to execute the plans of gangsters lodged in Tihar jail in connivance with foreign handlers like Gurkirat Goldy Brar while he was out on bail. Two pistols, nine live cartridges and a jeep were recovered from them. On September 20, police had arrested three people, including a juvenile, for allegedly demanding Rs one crore extortion and firing at the immigration-cum-coaching centre in Dera Bassi. The arrested persons have been identified as Mohit, a resident of Lakhnaur village in Ambala, Jagdeep Singh alias Jaggu, a resident of Dera Bassi and a juvenile. Two pistols, three live cartridges and the bike used in the crime were recovered from them, police said.
