Chandigarh: Successful students were honored on the annual day of the medical college

Chandigarh: The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) located at Sector 32 today celebrated its 33rd Annual Day function. Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, along with UT Adviser Rajiv Verma and Secretary Medical Education and Research Ajay Chagti attended the event.

Director-Principal Professor AK Attri presented the Annual Report of GMCH while Kataria released the college magazine ‘Glimpses’ for the year 2024. He also distributed prizes to medical students who excelled in academics, various sports competitions and other festivities.

Dr Vaibhav Garg, who passed MBBS (2018) from the college and topped India in PGNEET-2024, was felicitated on the occasion. Several faculty members including Dr Varsha Gupta, Dr Lipika Gautam (Best Researcher Award), Dr Monika Gupta, Dr Kiran Prakash and Dr Sonia Puri were also felicitated for their outstanding research in the past one year.
