Chandigarh News: Body of a woman found in Sukhna Lake
Chandigarh: The body of a 24-year-old woman was found floating in Sukhna Lake around 6 am on Monday. A police team visited the spot. Sources said the victim hails from Fazilka in Punjab. Police have started investigation at Sector 3 police station.
Attack on minor in Sector 25
Police have arrested an 18-year-old youth and detained a juvenile for attacking a minor in Sector 25. According to police, a 17-year-old resident of Sector 25 has alleged that Ashudeep, a resident of Dadu Majra, along with Robin, Sahil and others attacked him near his house. A case was registered at Sector 11 police station. During investigation, Ashudeep was arrested and a 16-year-old juvenile was detained. The minor was sent to juvenile home.
Mobile phone snatched
A person on a motorcycle snatched a mobile phone from a person. Tirpan Singh, a resident of Khuda Ali Sher, said that a motorcyclist snatched his phone near Chandigarh Club. A case has been registered at Sector 3 police station.
Man arrested for theft at SCO
Police have arrested a man for theft in Sector 26. Dalip, a resident of Panchkula, said Rajesh, a resident of Bapu Dham Colony, was caught stealing copper pipes from SCO 38 in Sector 26.
