Chandigarh: Illegal liquor recovered

Chandigarh: The Excise Department and the police raided Mickey’s restaurant on Landran Road in Kharar and recovered 105 bottles of beer and 37 bottles of English liquor. The liquor sold in Chandigarh was hidden in a generator installed outside the restaurant. Excise Department Inspector Vikas Bhateja said that he had received secret information that illegal liquor was kept in the restaurant, which was sold to customers at night. Acting on the information, the restaurant was raided on Thursday and liquor was recovered. He said that the owner of the restaurant fled from the spot.
