Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister said- it is a matter of pride to hoist the national flag in Karnal

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar hoisted the tricolor at Police Line Ground in Karnal on Friday and inspected the parade on the 75th Republic Day.

“I feel proud to hoist the national flag on Republic Day in Karnal for the first time. I love the people of Karnal. This is the land of the great donor Karna. I wish the people of Haryana all the best,” Khattar said in his address in his home constituency.

He paid tribute to the armed personnel who sacrificed their lives for the country and appreciated the efforts of farmers, scientists and youth in the development of the country.

On this occasion, he also appreciated the contribution of India’s first woman astronaut and aerospace engineer, late Kalpana Chawla, who was from Karnal.
